Travel and Logistics
Flying into San Francisco
The Bay Area has 3 airports, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, which are marked on the map.
SFO (San Francisco) is the closest airport to the ceremony and reception, so we recommend this one.
2nd closest would be Oakland, and 3rd is San Jose.
From the airport to San Francisco
A convenient way to get from either SFO or the Oakland airport to downtown and the waterfront (Marina District) is BART.
The image to the right is linked to the website with links to their apps, which you can add money to. The trains and buses have scanners at the doors to tap your phone to pay quickly and easily.
Otherwise, Lyft and Uber are alternative options.
The ceremony and reception
The ceremony will be at the amphitheater at Presidio Tunnel Top Park. The park is near the northern tip of San Francisco, an 8 minute walk to the beach, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
See map below for both locations
Hotels / Lodging
We recommend finding a hotel or AirBnB somewhere in the North Beach, Marina District, Pacific Heights, or Russian Hill areas.
There are bars and restaurants in this area, and is also convenient for public transit, and Lyft and Uber.

Q&A
What should I wear to the ceremony?
The ceremony will be outdoors at the amphitheater in the park. With the park being minutes from the ocean, the weather will likely be cool and windy. We'd appreciate if you wore something nicer than what you'd wear at home, but warm and comfortable.
Average temperatures in May for San Francisco are between 50° and 60°. The mornings are typically cloudy, due to the marine layer from the pacific ocean.
What's the ceremony going to be like?
We're still planning what the ceremony will be, but we will be saying our I do's, signing marriage documents, and exchanging rings. We expect it to take approximately 20 minutes
How did we find our venue?
We discovered the site https://www.peerspace.com/ , which allows people to rent spaces by the hour, for all kinds of events and gatherings. This space is close to our ceremony and allows for a good number of people.
Can we get Nick and Marshall gifts?
Please do not bring any gifts - if you can make it that's more than enough! We know how difficult it is to get here.
I hear San Francisco is an awful place...?
San Francisco is quite a unique and magical place, and no city is perfect. Regardless, we want to bring the people we love, to a place we love, and make great memories.
What food will we have at the reception?
We have friends and family with gluten allergies, as well as preferences like vegetarian and vegan. We are ordering from a completely free gluten free restaurant called Asian Box that serves Vietnamese food. Next, we're having cupcakes from Kara's Cupcakes.
What I should bring?
Good shoes for walking, as our activities will involve a lot of walking.
Cash for cover at the bars, if you want to join!
Something to sit on at the outdoor amphitheater if you'd like to protect your clothes.
Layers, for the wind, the cold, and then the sun.
How did we make the wedding website?
As a designer, Nick already has a website for his design portfolio, so we built onto it.
Now have some cheesy pictures of us I guess
